I chose to write my paper on Non-Profit Organizations. I have been interested for a while about how they work and what all they entail, with the possibility of maybe starting my own one day. Learning more about them would give me a better idea on what to expect or if I am in over my head.
I know that these organizations are run through help of other companies and grants. That they help people in the neighborhood, city, state, or nation that are in need of certain services. Their main goal is to help others. In my opinion, I have found nothing but good organizations but they all help after the fact. They are not proactive.
I hope to learn the history about non-profit organizations and how they are run. All the different steps required to create one, where to go to start and what kind of companies support them. Maybe as I do more reasearch I will come across an organization that actually does what I want to do, get to the kids and adolescence after tradegy BEFORE they make the wrong choices.

An argument could be made that something related to non-profits could be a scholarly or academic topic, but what you are suggesting would be an informative not an argumentative paper. Are there issues related to non-profits about which experts disagree?
ReplyDeleteI am sorry. I have been out of it with strep and a high fever and spaced about making an argument about our paper. Would it be okay if I switched to "Foster kids can live a good life"?
ReplyDeleteI have switched my topic to foster care being successful. In my Dad's murder case one of the defendants used foster care as an excuse and said he didn't get the opportunities he needed. I want to prove that this is false.
